Practice Policies Overview

Initial Consultation

Initial Consultations are scheduled with our Functional Medicine Providers.

Plan for a total of 2-3 hours to complete our initial process at our office. For virtual initial appointments plan for 2 hours. See below for the initial process.

1. Vitals and InBody Composition Analysis
2. Initial Assessment Session with Nurse (40mins) - detailed/extensive medical history taking
3. Evaluation and treatment plan with Doctor (20mins)
4. Review Session with Nurse (30min) – review doctors treatment plan and next steps
5. Administrative Session (15mins) – sign up for a program or membership and schedule follow up appointments
6. Testing/Treatment Administration (30min~1hr) – if patient is at office. Virtual patients will be set up with home testing.

*Testing/treatments/supplements are not included in the initial consultation fee

Follow-Up Consultations

You will be scheduled for a follow-up visit(s) after your initial consultation. Follow-up visits are typically 2-4 weeks after your initial visit but vary depending on your treatment plan.

IV & Stem Cell Consultation

We do not accept insurance for IV and Stem Cell therapy services. New patients require a consultation with our providers. The IV & Stem Cell consultation can be kept as short as 15 minutes or can be extensive and longer depending on your needs and your medical history.

All patients are required to subscribe to our Patient Portal, where confidential email exchanges about your personal health issues can be accomplished with our practitioners. Your appointment reminders, practice updates and promotions will be delivered via our Patient Portal.

Medical Cannabis Consultation

Initial Visit (1 hour)

  • Full medical assessment to evaluate for qualification of certification for NY State Medical Marijuana Program

  • Counseling on risks and benefits of Medical Cannabis

  • Counseling on how to use medication, how to register for NYS, and how to manage potential side effects

  • Electronic Certification to NYS Department of Health and initial recommendation

1st Follow up visit (30 minutes)

  • 1 month from start of new medication

  • Evaluate medical efficacy, adjust dosing, and manage side effects

  • New recommendation to NYS DOH and dispensary

  • Ongoing collaboration with patient's other physicians, as well as, cannabis dispensary pharmacist

  • New recommendations if needed

Subsequent Follow Up Visit (30 minutes)

  • Minimum every 3 months for stable clinical status and dosing regimen

  • Not stable dosing regimen may need more frequent follow ups

  • New recommendations if needed

Weight Loss Consultation

The initial weight loss consultation is a complimentary session with our weight loss Nurse or Health Coach. An assessment and intake is done to discuss program options best for the patient.

COVID-19 Testing

A short 15 minute triage consultation with a provider is required prior to having the test done. The triage consultation will be done via telemedicine, phone consult or video conference. Once the triage consultation is completed, our provider will let you know which test you need. We will assign you the time to come into the office to get the testing done. We will inform you of the results as soon as it’s available.


The office must be notified in advance if a scheduled appointment cannot be kept. If an appointment needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, we require a 48-hour notification. Otherwise, the following cancellation penalty will be applied: 100% of the consultation fee. If you miss your appointment, we will reschedule to a different date, however you will be responsible for an additional consultation fee.


We are located at 2 Overhill Rd. Suite 260 Scarsdale, NY 10583. Appointments can be scheduled at our office or telemedicine via phone or video. When leaving a message please include the following information:

  • 1. Full name (please spell your last name)

  • 2. The reason for your call

  • 3. A callback number with the best time to return your call

We offer Telemedicine appointments that are either done with phone or video. Please indicate what you prefer when making your appointment.

Test Results

It can take up to 2-4 weeks to receive final lab test results. Patient Portal subscribers will receive a notification via Patient Portal. Lab and test results in the Patient Portal may be viewed, printed, downloaded and forwarded immediately. Non-subscribers may obtain copies of their lab and test results by visiting the office or requesting copies via encrypted email, mail or fax which may take 72 hours. Each copy will be charged 75cents. If there are abnormal lab results that need immediate attention the Practitioner will contact you. Do not be alarmed if some of your results are high or low, these will be discussed in detail at the time of your appointment.


We are an integrative medicine practice and utilize different laboratories depending on the testing you need. Prior to the test administration, we will review potential laboratory fees, instructions for testing and will have you sign written consent to perform the testing.

At any time you receive bills from laboratories, please scan it and send it to or fax it to us 914-722-9441. We can review it with you and help you sort it out. Please note, our service fees do not include laboratory fees.


Prescription refill period for chronic stable medication is 6 months. Prescription refill period for conditions that need monitoring is 3 months. Please note, a prescription refill request cannot be fulfilled if it is a new medication to our practice and if you have not been seen by our doctor within 3 months.

Controlled Medications

Sleeping medication, ADD medication, sedative, strong painkillers, testosterone, HcG, phentermine, peptides, sermorelin, bioidentical hormone medication compounded with testosterone, naltrexone, and antibiotic will not be prescribed or refilled without proper assessment. A monthly visit is required for ongoing controlled medication renewal and 3 month lab work is required.


Supplements are commonly prescribed in our office. Schedule a consultation with our providers to formulate your vitamin regimen. SeeBeyond™ members receive 10-20% off supplement purchases.

Supplement Return policy: 100% Store Credit or refund by check for unopened items purchased within 30 days. After 30 days, no refund can be issued. There is no refund policy on services, medication, and injections that are dispensed from our office. Prepaid services including IV packages expire in 6 months.

Payment Policy

All payment is due upon services are rendered and is non-refundable. Please note that credit card information will be obtained for every patient and will be kept on file. You can use it to pay for all of your visits, wellness procedures and supplements. This will make your check out easy and simple. You may use all major credit cards, bank issued debit cards or a HAS/FSA card.

You can also use CareCredit. CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed for your health and wellness needs. CareCredit allows you to make convenient monthly payments with 0% interest up to 24 months. You can apply for CareCredit here.

All services, including prepaid packages are non-refundable.


We do not accept insurance and we do not file insurance claims on your behalf. However, we can provide an insurance claim ready receipt, ‘superbills’ for you to submit to your insurance carriers. If you have out of network benefits and have met your deductible, you will most likely be reimbursed. If you have out of network benefits but have not met your deductible, the reimbursement will be applied to your deductible. If you do not have out of network benefits, you will not be reimbursed by your insurance carrier. Please note, we do not re-generate the superbills for corrected claim resubmission in case the original claim is denied or rejected by your insurance carriers. In the case your insurance endorses the payment to our office, the payment will be returned to your insurance to be endorsed to the patient directly.
