Randi Cestaro - Nutrition

Randi Cestaro

Director of Nutrition

Randi is our Integrative Health Coach. She has been certified as a Holistic Health Coach by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and is a certified yoga teacher. Randi also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University...

Randi’s journey began when she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (“PCOS”) in her twenties. Her periods had vanished, she had enlarged ovaries, was tired all the time, gained weight, had painful cysts on her ovaries and breasts.

By embracing and personally practicing what she was learning in her studies to become a holistic health coach, Randi drastically changed her diet and lifestyle, and within six (6) months her PCOS symptoms went into remission. Her menses cycle returned to normal, the pain subsided and her mood stabilized. To her great surprise, Randi’s physician confirmed that her ovarian cysts had disappeared and her ovaries had returned to normal size.

Randi is self-motivated, confident, and a nurturing coach with a proven track record of helping clients mitigate their symptoms through effective nutritional practices. She has over fifteen (15) years of experience in providing nutritional guidance to patients with PCOS, diabetes, infertility, hormone imbalances, irritable bowel syndrome and weight loss issues. Randi has the innate ability to distill complex nutritional data into accessible information that her clients can understand.

She has given talks on various nutritional topics at the United Nations, Asphalt Green, and at the Montefiore Institute.

See Beyond™ Medicine is proud to have Randi as our Integrative Health Coach. Come see for yourself how caring and understanding she is about your health goals. We all look forward to meeting you.

Jen Marshall - Licensed Professional Counselor

Jen Marshall, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselors

It’s a privilege to be trusted as a therapist. I understand you are probably seeking help during a challenging time, and may be confused about where to turn. Of course, there is no formula for this. So much of what makes a therapeutic relationship successful and impactful is the personal connection between client and therapist.

My approach to therapy is based on a premise of wellness rather than disease, meaning that I believe most of the challenges that bring you to therapy arise from environmental/developmental factors rather than from cognitive or emotional deficits in you.

I work with clients from age 18 and above, as well as with couples and families. Although I believe diagnoses can be helpful, I’m not attached to them as the only way to understand a person’s unique challenges. Among the issues I treat are anxiety, depression, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, aftereffects of trauma, gender/sexuality issues, substance abuse, relationship challenges, parenting and family conflict, and life transitions of all kinds. If you don’t see your specific concern listed here, there is nonetheless a good chance we can work together and I would be happy to discuss it with you in a phone consult before we set up an appointment.

My approach is person-centered (focused on listening rather than directing) and grounded in accessible behavioral techniques (actual skills you can use). I have completed foundational DBT therapy training. I am currently training in Internal Family Systems therapy.

My educational background includes an M.A. in Counseling as well as a Ph.D. in English. As a former professor, I enjoy leading group counseling sessions for adults and teens in DBT skills, teen issues, and more.
